Special 3-DVD Package Offer!

I get asked all the time:
“Charlie, Is it possible to overcome my fear, keep my horse from spooking at everything and be able to ride safely and in control?”

In a survey filled out by hundreds of my readers, the number one issue horse owners expressed concern about was riding safely.  A very high percentage of riders have been hurt by their horses and now experience some fear of their horse because they don’t have full control and don’t want to be thrown off again.  The rider’s lack of confidence along with the fear of loosing control and getting hurt is quickly picked up or “sensed” by the horse.  It seems like a viscious circle.

Horseback Riding Is Dangerous!

Frankly, riding and handling horses is dangerous…there’s no getting around it.  Even the best trained horses can spook or will react to circumstances when we least expect it.

The big difference between loosing control and
maintaining control
is your ability to train yourself and
your horse to safely and calmly handle issues as they arise,
and have your horse respect you and have confidence in you.

It is possible to train your horse to:

  • Respect your space

  • Look to YOU when confronted by spooky things

  • Build a foundation of mutual trust between you and your horse

  • Ride with confidence

It All Starts With You…

I know what it’s like to hit the ground after being thrown by a horse.  And I’ve heard from hundreds over the years who have as well.  Many of them ended up with broken arms, legs, pelvis, backs, ribs or worse.  (And it seems that the older we get, the slower we heal!)

It is only natural to be fearful of an animal that weighs over 1,000 pounds, has lightning-fast nerves and strength 10 times greater than ours.  And if a horse has hurt you in the past then that fear only multiplies until you can learn to ride with confidence

We must always have respect for the shear power a horse has.  If you think “it won’t happen to me” and don’t have the ability to control your horse in all situations then you’re an accident waiting to happen.  It’s not a matter of “if”….it’s a matter of “when”.

There is hope – you can learn to overcome those fears and learn to handle your horse safely.  There are excellent horse trainers who understand your fear and frustrations and can teach you how to both train your horse and yourself to ride with confidence.  You really can learn to de-spook your horse.  You really can train your horse to respect your space, to ride completely in your control and look to you for direction when things look scary.

What’s The Real Value Of Riding Safely?

If you find yourself constantly fighting your horse, fearing your horse will take off, rear, kick, bite, or otherwise hurt you and you aren’t riding with confidence, then it is time to take control.  Your horse can sense when you lack control and confidence and when you are fearful.

Can I make a very strong suggestion?  Please don’t ride if you can’t be assured of your safety.  Get some help from experienced instructors or trainers that have proven they know what they are doing.  Your health and well-being are much more important than riding in fear and getting hurt.

There’s a HUGE difference in the enjoyment and being around your horse when you know you can control him safely, when he looks to you for direction, when you BOTH have confidence when riding and you aren’t fearing what may happen.

What started out as a love for horses can quickly turn into fear, apprehension and wondering if you have made the wrong decision.   It can lead to lots of frustrations.

It Doesn’t Have To Be That Way!

The real value of riding safely is both peace of mind and safety.  NOT fearing your horse over what might happen and NOT being afraid you’ll get hurt is something you can’t put a value on.  I don’t have to tell you the high costs of getting treated in the hospital for broken bones, concussions, or worse.

Get rid of that sick feeling in your stomach when you go to feed, handle and ride your horse.  Start looking forward to training and riding…just like when you first started.

The real value of training as taught by professional trainers on our DVDs can’t be measured completely by dollars and cents.  When you attempt to calculate NOT getting hurt and then add on the peace of mind and fun that you’ll have then the value of the DVDs becomes a huge bargain!

The lessons on these DVDs are those you’ll be able to use for years to come.  If you learn to master the skills of these trainers you’ll be able to enjoy not only the horses you have now but all those to come in the future.  It is a true investment in your safety, enjoyment and well being with your horses.
