Affiliate Welcome

Welcome to the Affiliate Program!

Note: we have a new FAQ (frequently asked questions) page.
Click here to see the FAQ page.

You will receive two emails from us welcoming you to the affiliate program.  One of the emails has your username (which is your email address) and your password.  Once you log into your Affiliate support page for the first time you will be able to change your password if you want to.

Here’s a couple things you need to know to get started:

1. To log into your support page use the link below:

    http://www.1shoppingcart.com/SYS/?m=79478&c=l

you’ll need your username and password.

On your support page you’ll find your Affiliate Link, other links for ads, and all the statistics on the number of visitors that went to our site, the number of sales, and your commission calculation.  Note that the statistics are updated each night for the previous day’s activity – they are NOT shown in real time.

2. To refer visitors, use your affiliate link provided
(you’ll find it in the email we send to you and on your support page).

Your Affiliate Link looks like this:

   http://www.horsetrainingresources.com/cmd.php?af=xxxxxxxx

where: xxxxxxxx is your Affiliate ID

Example 1:

Let’s say you are going to make a post in a forum you frequent.  In most forums, you can have a signature area that gets posted to the bottom of each post you make.  If the forum allows it, you could post a comment in your signature something like:

Professional Horse Training Videos, Books and Equipment

and then hyperlink it (the forum software will show you how) with your Affiliate Link as above

Example 2:

Do you make blog entries or comment on blogs?  You can place your Affiliate Link in your comments there, too.  Or, consider reviewing a DVD you bought from us and place your link within the review that will send readers to our website.  Doing honest reviews of something you’re excited about is a powerful way to refer people who also are excited to see what you’re talking about.

Example 3:

Do you have an email list you can send to?  Whether it is for you, your riding club, etc. – if you can send your Affiliate Link in an email that is encouraging others to visit our site (reviewing our products, about enjoying our emails, etc.) then this is a great way to get lots of visitors to our site with your Affiliate Link.

Example 4:

Do you have any websites or blogs you can place a banner ad on?  If so, that’s a great way to get people to click on your link.  Simply get the banners we provide (and we’ll be adding more in the future) and then be sure to use your Affiliate Link as the link they go to when they click on the banner.

Here’s a sample banner.  You may have seen it other places.

So there ya go – some ideas on how to get started.  Be creative.  But be sure you don’t break the rules of where you’re posting.  And do NOT SPAM people by sending to a list who hasn’t given you permission to send to.

We’re eager to see how you do – and will support you as needed.

To your success,

Charlie Hicks
