\u00a0 You tried&#8230;right?<\/p>\n<p>Shouldn&#8217;t I have given you credit for at least spitting out an answer? \u00a0Even if it was &#8220;I don&#8217;t know?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Why, then, do we get upset with our horses when we don&#8217;t get the right answer from them?<\/p>\n<p>Heck, the horse can ONLY guess what you want and then act on it.<\/p>\n<p>If he guessed wrong, is he to be chastised?<\/p>\n<p>Is that not the same as making a first grader feel punky for not knowing how to figure the square root of 81?<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s my point?<\/p>\n<p>Glad you asked.<\/p>\n<p>My point is that when you work with your horse and you try to get him to do something then when he tries&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That Counts!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sure, it may not be what you wanted&#8230;but that doesn&#8217;t make it wrong either.<\/p>\n<p>We canNOT be impatient and go to anger because the horse hasn&#8217;t figured out what we wanted.<\/p>\n<p>My friend Brad Myers calls this &#8220;Feel&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Feel is timing, balance, and patience.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsetrainingresources.com\/dvd-meyers.html\" title=\"Feel and Patience - Brad Meyers\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Brad Meyers &#8211; Feel and Patience<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsetrainingresources.com\/dvd-meyers.html\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.<wbr><\/wbr>horsetrainingresources.com\/<wbr><\/wbr>dvd-meyers.html<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Brad says if the timing is correct and you give the release at the right moment, the horse will understand.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the release point.<\/p>\n<p>Then horses start to look for that release point.<\/p>\n<p>Funny thing is, people make the mistake of releasing at the wrong moment and the horse learned that&#8217;s what you wanted even though that&#8217;s not what you wanted.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, we accidentally taught him the wrong thing&#8230;and we get mad at him for doing the wrong thing.<\/p>\n<p>SHEEEEEEEEEESSSSSHHHHHHHH!<\/p>\n<p>When Brad talks about balance he means you provide enough pressure to get a response vs. being too soft and &#8220;not&#8221; getting a\u00a0 response.<\/p>\n<p>Pretty good stuff Brad reveals.\u00a0 Read more about him at:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsetrainingresources.com\/dvd-meyers.html\" title=\"Feel and Patience - Brad Meyers\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Brad  Meyers &#8211; Feel and Patience<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsetrainingresources.com\/dvd-meyers.html\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.<wbr><\/wbr>horsetrainingresources.com\/<wbr><\/wbr>dvd-meyers.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, Brad talks patience as the final part of feel.<\/p>\n<p>Brad says patience is getting a response that may or may not be the right one. \u00a0We have to be patient with his responses because&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every try counts!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Amen.<\/p>\n<p>One more thing.<\/p>\n<p>The mammal that has the longest migration of all mammals is the Gray whale.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s round trip is 12,000 miles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsetrainingresources.com\/dvd-meyers.html\" title=\"Feel and Patience - Brad Meyers\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Brad  Meyers &#8211; Feel and Patience<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsetrainingresources.com\/dvd-meyers.html\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.<wbr><\/wbr>horsetrainingresources.com\/<wbr><\/wbr>dvd-meyers.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>OK &#8211; that&#8217;s it for today. \u00a0Stay safe around your horses!<\/p>\n<p>Charlie<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0FEEL and PATIENCE &#8211; Every Try Counts!
