Sizzling Summer Special Continues!<br \/>\n[Lots of folks are taking advantage of<br \/>\nthis&#8230;and for a good reason!]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. &#8220;Want Your Horse To Stop?\u00a0 Quit Riding!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, you can get a horse<br \/>\nto stop (normally) by simply&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Quit Riding&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>True.<\/p>\n<p>You see, there&#8217;s an powerful phenomenon<br \/>\nin the horse&#8217;s brain that&#8217;s useful to us<br \/>\nhorsey people.<\/p>\n<p>Kenny Scott, one of our featured trainers,<br \/>\nsaid it like this:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A horse will move with your<br \/>\nmotion without even knowing why.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thus, if you are &#8220;riding&#8221; (in other words, not<br \/>\nsitting in the saddle like a lump of flesh&#8230;instead<br \/>\nyou&#8217;re actually moving your body and hips rhythmically),<br \/>\nthen your horse will move.<\/p>\n<p>If you quit, your horse will sense that and<br \/>\nquit too.<\/p>\n<p>Not always&#8230;but generally.<\/p>\n<p>Even if he doesn&#8217;t quit, he can be taught<br \/>\nto quit when you quit riding.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, J.J. Rydberg (another one of our<br \/>\nexcellent trainers) says in his video:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Get to the point when you hardly have<br \/>\nto pull on the reins to stop.\u00a0 When you<br \/>\nsit down, he stops.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is powerful advice and here&#8217;s why.<\/p>\n<p>Any time&#8230;and I mean &#8220;any time&#8221; you don&#8217;t<br \/>\nhave to pull on a horse&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Let me ask you this.<\/p>\n<p>How&#8217;d ya like to be pulled on constantly?<\/p>\n<p>Just cuz he&#8217;s a horse doesn&#8217;t mean<br \/>\nhe&#8217;s okay with it.<\/p>\n<p>It can feel like he&#8217;s bein&#8217; picked on which<br \/>\nin turn makes him less willing to learn and cooperate.<\/p>\n<p>Now&#8230;back to the &#8220;quit riding&#8221; thing&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I want you to try this experiment and see<br \/>\nfor yourself how powerful this advice is.<\/p>\n<p>First, hold out your right hand in front<br \/>\nof you with palm down.<\/p>\n<p>Now put your left hand &#8220;on top&#8221; of your<br \/>\nright hand.<\/p>\n<p>Grip the top of your right hand with your<br \/>\nleft hand just enough so that when you relax your<br \/>\nleft arm, your hand stays on your right hand.<\/p>\n<p>Now move your right hand in a circular<br \/>\nmotion forward and backward sort of like how<br \/>\na horse would move.<\/p>\n<p>Very quickly, you&#8217;ll find it fatigues your<br \/>\nright arm.<\/p>\n<p>Now while your moving your right arm in<br \/>\nthat circular fashion, don&#8217;t allow your<br \/>\nleft hand to rest on top of your right hand.<\/p>\n<p>Make your left hand move with your right<br \/>\nhand while it resides on your right hand.<\/p>\n<p>See the difference?<\/p>\n<p>The analogy is your left hand is like the<br \/>\nrider on the horse.<\/p>\n<p>The left hand rides when it moves with the<br \/>\nright hand.<\/p>\n<p>But when it just sits on the right hand like<br \/>\na lump of dough, it&#8217;s tiring.\u00a0 It&#8217;s no fun.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;THAT&#8217;S&#8221; what I mean about stopping your horse.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, quit riding kind of like<br \/>\nwhat your left hand does when it rests on<br \/>\nthe right hand.<\/p>\n<p>The flip side, of course, is to &#8220;ride&#8221;<br \/>\nwhen you want your horse to move.<\/p>\n<p>A minute ago, I mentioned these principles<br \/>\ncame from J.J.
