as long as you&#8217;re showing him<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">where his space is.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">It also teaches your horse to listen to you.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">As you lead your horse, feel free to talk to him.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Keep his attention on you because that&#8217;s where<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">you want it.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">With leading you can help your understanding<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">what &#8220;whoa&#8221; means.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">As you&#8217;re leading and just getting ready<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">to stop say,<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">&#8220;and&#8230;whoa&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">The reason I like to say &#8220;and&#8221; before I<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">say &#8220;whoa&#8221; is it tells the horse there&#8217;s<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">a command coming.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">It&#8217;s like the yellow light in a stop light.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">It&#8217;s not fair to say the command and expect<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">your horse to instantly stop.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">The &#8220;and&#8221; precursor makes stopping workable.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Next, while you&#8217;re leading your horse you can<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">get him to do some quick lungeing.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Get him to step away from you and have him<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">go in a circle around you.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Switch directions.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Then lead again.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Why lunge?<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">The secret is in getting the horse&#8217;s feet to move.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">When you get your horse&#8217;s feet to move he sees<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">you as the dominant one and he&#8217;ll respect that &#8211;<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">although you&#8217;ll likely find him challenging it<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">now and then.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">The reason you want him to respect that you can<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">move him is that he&#8217;ll respect your position<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">as the alpha.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">That&#8217;s important.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">It causes him to listen better and be far<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">more willing to do what you ask.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">And the secret to that part of it is don&#8217;t<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">be a dictator and be ruthless in making him<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">move around.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">But don&#8217;t be a wimp either.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Only apply as much pressure as needed to get<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">your result but apply as much as it takes.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Start with the littlest and increase until<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">you get movement.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">When we filmed Paul Esh, we showed him teaching<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">a horse to respect your space and much of it<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">was using leading.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">There&#8217;s lots of good info showing various<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">things you should do.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">For instance, if you&#8217;re leading your horse<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">from the side, you can stop him from crowding<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">your space by moving his forequarters.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">But you have to teach him to move his<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">forequarters first before taking him for a walk.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Paul shows how to do it.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Check into what Paul can teach you by<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">clicking the following;<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">http:\/\/HorseTrainingResources.com\/dvd-paulesh.html<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Another handy tip you learn from Paul is what<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">to do if your horse is walking with you but<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">doesn&#8217;t stop.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Simply turn to look back at him and raise the rope.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Then if the horse still doesn&#8217;t stop, try<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">swinging the rope in front of them.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">And lastly&#8230;and this is important&#8230;if the<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">horse still doesn&#8217;t stop, make him step back<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">a couple steps.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Why?<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Because it&#8217;s not a natural thing to do.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">It&#8217;s a bit uncomfortable.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Soon he&#8217;ll figure out it&#8217;s easier to stop<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">than to keep going and then having to step backwards.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">http:\/\/HorseTrainingResources.com\/dvd-paulesh.html<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">And that, my friends, is another one of those<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">\u201cnuggets\u201d you can learn that will make your<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">horse training job easier. \u00a0It will get you<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">closer to the time when you can really enjoy<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">your horse rather than be fighting him all<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">the time.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">And isn\u2019t that what we all want and strive for?<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">http:\/\/HorseTrainingResources.com\/dvd-paulesh.html<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">===================================================<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">2.
