\u00a0By rearing or bucking \u00a0you off. \u00a0Or perhaps taking off on a run as you \u00a0hold on for dear life.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s his defensive action. \u00a0Yo don&#8217;t want to take \u00a0a horse to that point if you can help it!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>CSI &#8211; The Horse Pen:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>What just happened is natural for the horse but your \u00a0lack of understanding and training sees this as \u00a0a &#8220;bad horse&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Sound familiar? \u00a0Ever seen this before?<\/p>\n<p>Are you living with some of those issues right now?<\/p>\n<p>Who&#8217;s Issue Is This?<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes we have to come to the realization that the \u00a0problem is with us, not the horse. \u00a0Gulp!<\/p>\n<p>Anything worth doing is worth doing right. \u00a0If you don&#8217;t \u00a0have control of your horse then you&#8217;re skirting danger.<\/p>\n<p>I know this &#8211; a 1,000+ pound horse which has lightning-fast \u00a0reactions and enormous strength is a time bomb waiting to \u00a0go off, even with a trained handler or rider.<\/p>\n<p>Do me and yourself a favor right now &#8211; if you&#8217;re not \u00a0willing to learn how to handle that horse correctly \u00a0and safely, and train him so it&#8217;s safe to ride, then \u00a0please get rid of him. \u00a0Don&#8217;t put yourself and others \u00a0in harm&#8217;s way. \u00a0Statistics show that you&#8217;ll get hurt \u00a0and many times it will lead to broken bones, concussions, \u00a0or worse.<\/p>\n<p>That may sound harsh but it happens way too often. \u00a0If \u00a0I&#8217;m the first one to tell it to you that way and it \u00a0keeps you, others or even your horse from getting hurt, \u00a0then I&#8217;ll do it.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s sort of like the new couple who are blinded by love \u00a0and don&#8217;t see the train wreck coming in their lives.<br \/>\n(My wife and I see this frequently &#8211; we do a lot of<br \/>\npre marriage counseling in our church)<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Get Help and Learn:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seek out those more experienced and trusted who have \u00a0proven themselves and listen to them.<\/p>\n<p>However &#8211; beware! \u00a0There are some that want to sell \u00a0you a magic potion that would solve all your horse \u00a0problems in a few days. Run from them. \u00a0Seek other help.<br \/>\nExperience and insight take time to learn. \u00a0It&#8217;s \u00a0true with almost any skill.<\/p>\n<p>Horse training is no different.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>A Horse Training Truth:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a huge truth about horse training that you \u00a0need to understand:<\/p>\n<p>The majority of the problem is with the trainer and not the \u00a0horse. \u00a0Until the one doing the training understands \u00a0how horses learn and know how to get the horse to start \u00a0properly acting on the commands over and over each time \u00a0when asked, then nothing good is going to come \u00a0out of the training attempts.<\/p>\n<p>You MUST understand the nature of the horse, how his \u00a0brain works and how he learns.<\/p>\n<p>Know this: the horse already has the ability to do \u00a0all the basic stuff you want it to do. \u00a0It&#8217;s up to \u00a0the trainer to teach the horse each command and act \u00a0on it properly in a controlled fashion.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Let me state that again so it sinks in:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The horse already has the ability to do \u00a0all the basic stuff you want it to do. \u00a0It&#8217;s up to \u00a0the trainer to teach the horse each command and act \u00a0on it properly in a controlled fashion.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So, how do you get there you ask?<\/p>\n<p>You study, you watch others do it successfully and \u00a0learn along the way. \u00a0It doesn&#8217;t happen over night.<\/p>\n<p>Tell me ANY valuable skill or trade you have learned \u00a0that didn&#8217;t take quite a while to learn and master.<\/p>\n<p>We have assembled various resources to help you and we \u00a0have never sugar-coated or &#8220;hyped&#8221;
