moment?<\/strong><br \/>\n(Mine are increasing with age\u00a0 :&gt;)<\/p>\n<p>What I mean is, has anyone ever said<br \/>\nsomething to you and you didn&#8217;t answer immediately?<\/p>\n<p>There was this &#8216;moment of processing&#8217;<br \/>\nwhat the person just said to you.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you may ask, &#8220;Now what?\u00a0 Say that again\u2026?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you answer with the appropriate response.<\/p>\n<p>The reason I ask you this is because<br \/>\na lot of people don&#8217;t understand that<br \/>\n<em><strong> the horse has a\u00a0lag time in his responses, too.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We often expect our horses to snap to<br \/>\nattention and immediately do what we ask them to do.<\/p>\n<p>But asking for an instant response just isn&#8217;t appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>When you ask your horse to do something, it goes from the<br \/>\npressure point up to his brain and back to his leg or<br \/>\nwhatever you&#8217;re working on.<\/p>\n<p>And get this:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sometimes, it can take as much as four seconds.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Four seconds isn&#8217;t all that long.<\/p>\n<p>It may seem like it at the time, but<br \/>\ncomparatively speaking, it&#8217;s nothing.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the important tips Linda Braddy reveals<br \/>\nin her DVD on <strong><em>&#8220;Getting The Right Answer From Your Horse&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Linda goes on to say this.<\/p>\n<p>You will worry your horse if you keep<br \/>\nasking for an instant response and he isn&#8217;t giving it.<\/p>\n<p>So what?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Worry turns into confusion and confusion turns into fear.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can&#8217;t learn anything if your mind is consumed with fear.<br \/>\n[That&#8217;s a key training principle you really need to understand.]<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, your horse needs time from when you thought of it<br \/>\nand asked for it and when they can perform it.<\/p>\n<p>And don&#8217;t forget this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>They have to be physically ready to perform it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example, if your horse&#8217;s head is bent to the right and<br \/>\nyou asked his rearend to move to the right&#8230;it&#8217;d be dang<br \/>\nhard for him to do.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Because it&#8217;s natural for his hip to go to the left<br \/>\nwith his head bent to the right.<\/p>\n<p>He could move his hip and head to the<br \/>\nright if he was warmed up, ready, and<br \/>\nknew what it was about.<\/p>\n<p>But otherwise, it&#8217;s just not fair<br \/>\nto ask your horse to do it.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the valuable lessons<br \/>\nLinda reveals in her DVD.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t seen it yet, I urge you<br \/>\nto click on the following:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/horsetrainingresources.com\/dvds\/lindabraddy-get-your-horse\/\" target=\"_blank\">Linda Braddy DVD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Linda is an excellent trainer.<br \/>\n<strong>Wanna know a couple things<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> \u00a0 about Linda and her qualifications?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Linda worked at\u00a0a 300 head facility at a famous military base<br \/>\ncalled Camp Pendleton.\u00a0 While there, she attended\u00a0several clinics.<\/p>\n<p>While at Camp Pendleton, there was constant flow<br \/>\nof horses to work with.\u00a0 Linda got to work with<br \/>\nso many horses that any trainer would envious of her.<\/p>\n<p>Linda was also a traveling trainer.\u00a0 She&#8217;d go<br \/>\nfrom one stable to another and work with horses.<\/p>\n<p>Soon, Linda was an expert in observing horses and<br \/>\nquickly discovering their strong and weak points,<br \/>\nhow best to approach each individual problem, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Linda developed her training ability by watching<br \/>\nthe good, the bad, and the ugly in horse training.<\/p>\n<p>In total seriousness, Linda admits, &#8220;I learned a lot<br \/>\nof training from the bad trainers. He paws the ground a lot &amp; likes to kick a back<\/em><br \/>\n<em> \u00a0 leg out when he&#8217;s frustrated.
