In This Magazine Issue:
Black Beauty… and Your Horse Riding Dream
Have you read the classic “Black Beauty” by Anna Sewell?
I’m just guessing… but I’d bet that a large majority of kids and adults alike have started to dream of riding after reading that great book!
More about Black Beauty and something I have for you in a minute….
Most of us have dreamed of riding since we were little kids. Some of us learned early yet many of us didn’t have the funds or opportunity to do so. Yet the yearning and interest seems to never go away.
I was quite startled as some statistics I saw a while back – they indicated that a high percentage of new horseback riders are over 30, with many of them in their 40’s or 50’s and older.
Why so much interest? Well, for some it’s a job. I have worked with many ranchers, cattlemen and even the cowboys in many large cattle feeding operations. Horses, to them, are a necessity.
But the majority of folks who receive this email enjoy riding as a hobby or pastime.
There are so many disciplines in riding – from trail riding, endurance riding, all the rodeo sports, jumping, dressage, hunt seat, etc. (Sorry if I left your favorite sport out!)
So, do you still have that dream? Or do you have a friend, a child or grandchild who has been dreaming of riding someday?
If so, what’s holding you back? Finances? Time? Fear?
One thing we noticed over the years is that, while interested, many don’t start lessons because of the unknown or fear of horses, or even the fear of not knowing about horses.
That’s one of the main reasons we wrote the book “Horseback Riding: The Complete Beginner’s Guide”.
Horseback Riding: The Complete Beginner’s Guide
Taking lessons from a certified instructor can be quite expensive. But if you’re new to horses and don’t have a trusted, experienced friend to teach you, I would suggest it.
But there’s a WHOLE lot of knowledge you can gain about horses in the privacy of your own home, before you ever mount a horse.
By learning about horses, all the terminology, how a horse thinks, and all the things about riding before you go out to take lessons, you’ll be weeks ahead of the others when you start.
And, you’ll save money in the process.
If the time is right or you think you want to start riding lessons in the next few weeks or months, get the book. Study it. Absorb it.
There’s power in knowledge!

There were many versions of this book. The one I am giving away is the 1911 American version.
It is a download version – so you’ll have to either read it on your computer or print it out. But it’s my gift to you.
Here’s the download link:
Enjoy it… it’s one way that we can say “Thanks” for being a customer and/or horse lover friend.
