“Outrageous Social and Horse Training Errors”
Horse owners are the only ones that
make outrageous mistakes.
Listen to this.
A surgeon at a Rhode Island Hospital
operated on the wrong side of a man’s brain.
Why?
Because the CT scan was placed backwards
on an X-ray viewing box.
Ultimately, the patient was fine.
But this error occurred one year after
a surgeon at the same hospital removed the
tonsils and adenoids of a girl scheduled for…
“eye surgery!”
T’is true.
So just remember this.
Don’t fret about making mistakes with your horse.
Compare your mistake to these surgeon’s
and it should make you feel a 1000 percent better.
Here’s a fairly common mistake you can
avoid making with your horse.
When filming Doug and Danie Hewlett in
their Reining DVD, they spoke about getting the
horse’s head to move.
The Hewletts explained that people focus
on the wrong thing.
They say it’s always more important to
get the feet and body move first.
Why?
Because the head will follow.
You see,…if you ask your horse to
move off your right leg and he throws his head,
don’t worry about him throwing his head…yet.
Why?
Because if you try to fix his head, he
won’t learn to move off his right leg.
But here’s the secret a lot of people
don’t get.
As his body moves more correctly….
“his head will
move quieter.”
That’s a huge secret.
Why?
Because if you try to fix the head,
you’re fixing the wrong thing.
The head will fix itself.
How cool is that?!!
The Hewletts have lots more to show
you if you haven’t seen it yet.

What the Hewletts reveal here is
kind of like juggling.
At first, your hands won’t catch the balls.
The balls end up everywhere but in your
hands.
But after you get the movement down,
your brain and muscle memory automatically
put your hands and arms where they’re supposed
to be to make it all work right and look pretty.
