I’ve had dozens of inquiries over the last few months about our book:
“Horseback Riding: The Complete Beginner’s Guide”
We’ve had a great response for the book but many folks just don’t want to download it. They wanted a printed book they could hold in their hands, bookmark, make notes in, etc.
With many other projects on the table we just didn’t have a chance to get it ready for the printer…. well, we finally got it done!
A Great Way for the New Rider to “Get Up To Speed”
For those unfamiliar with the book, it was written specifically for the new horseback rider…. those who have an interest in riding but just weren’t sure how to start. Or, for those who are about take lessons, found them very expensive, and wanted to see if they could find a less-expensive way.
The book was written and edited by two certified instructors with a combined experience of over 45 years. It teaches the new rider how to understand the horse, their anatomy, their dispositions, understanding how their brain works, etc. It also covers the different horse breeds, their markings, etc.
It then proceeds to discuss the various riding styles, tack, preparing for your ride, the various gaits, what to do after your ride, grooming, etc.
It places a great deal of emphasis on safety and being prepared.
It also covers areas like exercising and training your horse.

As many of you know, horse riding lessons can be very expensive. Depending on the level of instruction and frequency, lessons could easily be hundreds of dollars a month. So, we provided a bunch of input to two trusted certified instructors to help us write this book.
They “KNOW” horseback riding and instruction and wrote the book from the viewpoint of what the beginner needs to know to get started. What they want THEIR students to know as they start.
Now, it’s available as a printed book or as a download. Have it your way!

We also include two other books with this one (printed and bound with the main book):
1) “So You Want To Ride A Horse” – another book we wrote about getting started in horseback riding. This book has a special chapter for the adult beginner rider.
This book covers other various areas about getting started and is an excellent addition to the main book. That’s why we’re bundling it – so the beginning rider will get the most value.
2) “What You Need To Consider BEFORE You Buy Your First Horse” – if you’ve been even thinking of buying a horse for the first time (or had a sour experience already) then this is a must-read! So many first-time horse owners don’t have a clear understanding of what to look for and what some of the considerations are prior to buying a horse.
This bonus book isn’t real long, but provides some excellent insight and gives you a bunch of things to consider and questions to answer prior to buying a bringing a horse home.

So – that’s it. We spent a little bit extra to have all three of these books bound together in a spiral notebook format. We printed our Jesse Beery horse training course this way and folks said they loved it.
With this “Complete Beginner’s Guide” you should be able to save quite a bit of money on your early lessons that will pay for the book many times over. Plus you’ll have a great resource to use for the future.

All the best with your horses…. above all things – stay save.
Sincerely,
Charlie Hicks
P.S. This makes a great present for a new-want-to-be rider as well. New riders need to be started right – they need to understand how a horse thinks, understand safety and overcome fears of riding. And, it doesn’t matter whether you are 12 or 62 – we all know that it is important to overcome the fears of riding for the first time.
