Thanksgiving Blessings – Give Thanks!”
“Thanksgiving Blessings – Give Thanks”
For all of you in the USA, today is Thanksgiving. What does Thanksgiving Day mean to you? If you watch TV, read the papers, listen to the
talk shows, and see the ads, you’d think it was The Day Before Black Friday and Turkey Day. And, sadly, that’s what it’s been reduced to
for a majority of our citizens.
Hello? What is the Thanks and Giving all about?
Warning: This message will not be “politically correct.” I would rather hold to the founding principles that have stood the test of time and to those beliefs I have. Founding Principles and Beliefs – ALL Divinely Inspired. We could do no better than return to them in this day and age.
Please don’t take this wrong but if that offends you – you have three choices:
understand that’s who we are and read on, delete this email, or unsubscribe from this list. Every email has
an unsubscribe link at the bottom. We’ll part in peace.
So what is Thanksgiving? A day when we, as a country, as a nation of predominantly Christian believers, give thanks to God for His rich
blessings on this country. No doubt some of you are not Christians and believe differently. That’s fine. If you live in this country and enjoy our freedoms and are enjoying the opportunities you have here… then please give thanks where thanks is due.
EVERY person who legally comes to this country has equal opportunity. No other nation in the world has been such a “melting pot” to provide equal opportunity to all. A country of hope, opportunity and strength. Not “hope and change”.
A country that gives more to the rest of the world than all other countries combined. At least, that was the way we have been.
We have an established set of laws and regulations we are all supposed to abide by. And we are all equal no matter where we came from.
Please understand that we have a strong heritage of sacrifice by those who came to the shores of this land and endured much – all based on the hope
of a better future. People who fled persecution and risked all to start something better. Our forefathers sought Divine guidance in the process and, against many odds, were able to overcome adversity and endure. And today we are free ONLY because of the risk they took and it now rides on the back of the toil and spilled blood of thousands who came after them.
We owe them all so much and need be genuinely thankful. When’s the last time you heard that in the media?
We should do no less than fall on our knees and thank God for this rich land and system of government we have – even as corrupt as it has become.
But yet it seems all we hear in the media is “turkey day”, football and Black Friday. Where’s the Thanks? Where’s the remembrance of all those who risked their lives for our benefit and all that we inherited in the process?
I’m wondering how many of the current generation of 20+ year olds and younger actually know what Thanksgiving really is? Don’t seek answers from the media – you’ll get a very distorted view.
Any more we can’t stand for anything because we might offend someone. Hogwash. To not stand for who we are, to not acknowledge our Christian heritage, to pretend that we can’t make a statement of faith because not everyone believes like we do is like handing over our country to the enemy.
I pray for men, women, moms, dads, and leaders who will take a stand despite what the rest of world thinks. We didn’t achieve greatness by being a “me too” country.
In as early as one more generation we won’t have any semblance of heritage left and we’ll end up going the way many other countries that
don’t stand for anything anymore.
Lord help us, open our eyes, and let us see what’s really happening.
We have so much to be thankful for and every citizen of this great country needs to stop and be thankful for it in some way. Our government, as flawed as it may be, is still the best in the world. We have a lot of challenges in front of us and have lots of mis-directed politicians and special interests
who seemingly want to take this country down.
I pray we can find men and women of character to restore those principles we were founded on. I pray we can elect leaders who will stand up
for this country and put the country and its people first – instead of lining the pockets of the special interests and lobbyists.
I don’t care what party they are – doing the right thing shouldn’t need a party affiliation.
We’ve never seen corruption this bad and if we don’t clean house fast we’re headed down. Pray for this country. Pray for our leaders.
Pray they are shaken to the core and will put righteousness ahead of self interest.
Onward…
So what are you thankful for?
Take a few moments and think about that. Try focusing on the positive things in your life rather than all things the world tells you that you should have. Food, shelter, clothing, health, work?? How about God’s grace?
I like Dave Ramsey’s response when asked how he’s doing. He responds:
“Better than I deserve”.
Without God’s grace my life would be pretty ugly.
I’m thankful for our troops around the world who continually secure our safety in a world where many want to destroy us. Please pray for them and for their families for all their sacrifices.
There’s thousands of families who are apart this Thanksgiving because Fathers, Sons, Moms and Daughters are deployed half way around the world for OUR benefit. Pray for them all.
I am thankful for my family. For a loving wife who gives her all for us – as a wife, as a mother of 5 and a home school Mom. (She’s an angel)
And for my five kids (14 – 32) – who all have accepted the Lord as their personal savior.
I’m thankful for living in a country where I have the opportunity to risk personal funds, blood, sweat and tears to start a business and have personal gain through it. It doesn’t come with any guarantees. Both the rewards and the losses are mine (except the tax part, that is….).
For those of you receiving this message – Thanks.
From my family to yours, thanks for your interest and support for our business. We strive to provide products and services that are helpful, useful,
at a fair price and try our best to serve you with respect.
We’re not perfect but will always try to make it right if we fail.
So there ya go. My Thanksgiving Blessing to all of you. Thanks for reading.
We’ll get back to regular horse tips tomorrow.
In the meantime – enjoy friends and family. Take a few moments to express your gratitude to those around you for all your provision and for the
blessings you’ve been given.
Encourage one another in the Lord and lift up those around you who need it. We all need the support of other like-minded folks to stay alert,
fight back the enemy and thrive.
Lord bless you all. Happy Thanksgiving!

The Amazing Benefits Of Leading Your Horse
In Today’s Horse Tips Magazine Issue:
1. “The Amazing Benefits of Leading Your Horse”
2. NEW BOOK – Almost Ready. You ask – we deliver.
——————————————————————-
1. “The Amazing Benefits of Leading Your Horse”
It’d surprise you.
Leading a horse is one of the most influential
exercises you can do with your horse.
Lots of people think it’s a simple thing one
should hurry and get past.
Truth is, it’s very beneficial.
First, it teaches your horse to maintain his
space from you – as long as you’re showing him
where his space is.
It also teaches your horse to listen to you.
As you lead your horse, feel free to talk to him.
Keep his attention on you because that’s where
you want it.
With leading you can help your understanding
what “whoa” means.
As you’re leading and just getting ready
to stop say,
“and…whoa”.
The reason I like to say “and” before I
say “whoa” is it tells the horse there’s
a command coming.
It’s like the yellow light in a stop light.
It’s not fair to say the command and expect
your horse to instantly stop.
The “and” precursor makes stopping workable.
Next, while you’re leading your horse you can
get him to do some quick lungeing.
Get him to step away from you and have him
go in a circle around you.
Switch directions.
Then lead again.
Why lunge?
The secret is in getting the horse’s feet to move.
When you get your horse’s feet to move he sees
you as the dominant one and he’ll respect that –
although you’ll likely find him challenging it
now and then.
The reason you want him to respect that you can
move him is that he’ll respect your position
as the alpha.
That’s important.
It causes him to listen better and be far
more willing to do what you ask.
And the secret to that part of it is don’t
be a dictator and be ruthless in making him
move around.
But don’t be a wimp either.
Only apply as much pressure as needed to get
your result but apply as much as it takes.
Start with the littlest and increase until
you get movement.
When we filmed Paul Esh, we showed him teaching
a horse to respect your space and much of it
was using leading.
There’s lots of good info showing various
things you should do.
For instance, if you’re leading your horse
from the side, you can stop him from crowding
your space by moving his forequarters.
But you have to teach him to move his
forequarters first before taking him for a walk.
Paul shows how to do it.
Check into what Paul can teach you by
clicking the following;
http://HorseTrainingResources.com/dvd-paulesh.html
Another handy tip you learn from Paul is what
to do if your horse is walking with you but
doesn’t stop.
Simply turn to look back at him and raise the rope.
Then if the horse still doesn’t stop, try
swinging the rope in front of them.
And lastly…and this is important…if the
horse still doesn’t stop, make him step back
a couple steps.
Why?
Because it’s not a natural thing to do.
It’s a bit uncomfortable.
Soon he’ll figure out it’s easier to stop
than to keep going and then having to step backwards.

And that, my friends, is another one of those
“nuggets” you can learn that will make your
horse training job easier. It will get you
closer to the time when you can really enjoy
your horse rather than be fighting him all
the time.
And isn’t that what we all want and strive for?

2. NEW BOOK – Almost Ready. You ask – we deliver.
A while back I casually mentioned in an email
that I should put a collection of my email horse
tips together and publish it.
I was blown away at how many folks said they’d
love to have book of these tips. So, I started
working on it and am about to launch it.
I get literally dozens of emails monthly from those
who say they love to read these horse tips and
various musings about life and thankfulness.
I’ve taken dozens and dozens of these horse
tips and insights and put together Volume 1 of:
“A Collection of Horse Training
Tips, Secrets and Wisdom
The Celebrated Musings Of Useful Tips
And Insights Written Over The Years”
As you know, I’ve written not only about horses,
their care, training and riding – but also
some about my thoughts and reflections during
special occasions and even family stuff.
And want to know sumthin’? It’s been some
of those non-horse emails that have had
some of the highest responses. So I’ve
included some of them as well.
Anyway – you’ll see it soon – probably tomorrow.
We are going to release it as a PDF download
at a very special price first. I’m working on
getting it printed as well but that will take
a bit longer.
Oh – we’ll have a Kindle version and a Nook version
in a while as well!
I’m excited to release this – it represents many,
many hours of writing and sharing my thoughts and
insights over the last 6+ years.

How To Know What Your Horse Thinks Of YOU?
How To Know What Your
Horse Thinks Of YOU?
Have you ever wondered what other people think of you?
Sometimes you can just tell.
Other times not.
With horses, one of the easiest ways to tell is this.
Ride ’em.
Yep…ride ’em.
You see, if your horse has little respect for you…it won’t be a pleasant ride.
That’s when you gotta go back to the drawing board and instill you are the chief and NOT the indian.
At the same time, you have to instill you’re the one who’s gonna take care of ’em, too.
In the real world, horses go into self-preservation and will take care of themselves first.
Why?
Reaction.
It’s their nature.
It’s not that you don’t matter – it’s just that fear seizes them and they react.
And like Brad Myers teaches…
“You have to shrink the window of time
from when they get concerned and when
they find you.”
What does that mean?
Well…when you’re out riding and your horse spooks, you want him looking to YOU to see if everything is okay.
You don’t want him takin’ off for a wild ride and then slowing down a half-mile later and THEN figuring out it’s okay now.
You’re in danger in he does.
That window of time needs to be a small as possible between him spooking and looking to YOU.
That will only happen when he sees you as the leader and not just a lump on his back.
As Brad says, if the horse is going to see you as the one who’ll take care of him, then YOU have to be the leader.
How do you get that?
You can’t be a dictator because the horse will rebel.
You can’t be a wimp either because the horse won’t gain confidence that you can take care of him.
You have to earn the horse’s respect and you cannot demand it.
You’ll get the respect by being the leader, by educating the horse, by showing them, by preparing them, and by having feel.
See more of what Brad Myers reveals in his DVD and interview by clicking on the following:
http://www.horsetrainingresources.com/dvds/meyers-little-things/
Brad shows lots of “Little Things” you can do to get the repsect. You’d be surprised how easy they are to do and the enormous
difference it will make.
You’d be shocked how easily and unwittingly horse owners create disrespect in their horses.
Just knowing a few tricks will make big differences.
It all begins back at the lead rope the second you put on that halter.
http://www.horsetrainingresources.com/dvds/meyers-little-things/
And always, always, always insist on what you want from your horse.
There is no gray area.
Even that little tidbit of knowledge will do wonders for you and your horse.

Brad is one of our featured trainers. You’ll love his teaching methods. Direct yet it all makes so much sense when you listen,
watch and learn. Anyone with any amount of riding and training experience will enjoy Brad’s DVD.
That’s it for today…stay safe out there.

“Thanks.
Just wanted you to know that your tips are
genuinely helpful, I have gained a load of
good stuff from your daily posts.
Very well presented, no snobbery, and like
Jesse Beery says you “use the language of
the common man”…….
