Moms – A Special Breed

Mom’s – A Special Breed

Happy Mother’s Day!

This Sunday is a special day in the US.

 It’s Mother’s Day.  A VERY special day.

Truth be known, behind most successful folks
was a loving mother.  There are always
exceptions, but we frequently owe much
to those loving Moms to help them along
the way.

Mom is the persistent encourager, prayer
warrior, nurse, loving partner, tireless
worker and is typically always there.

She doesn’t give up on kids who make mistakes
or those that have made wrong choices in life.

And a Mom never stops being a Mom.

This message today is for all of you
who have been blessed with children, have
lost children, have adopted and or cared
for other children.  No one else.  Just you.

Thank you for all you do.  You are a blessing.

May the Lord bless you on Mother’s Day and throughout
the year.  You’re unlike anything else
God has created and He gave you a special
loving care and sense for things that
others don’t have.

Even things like eyes behind your head!

And patience…oh, so much patience.

I pulled out a few thoughts from my
message in previous years and edited
then to share with you again.

Thoughts from the heart and wellworth repeating.

Blessings to each of you,

— Charlie

In Today’s Special Issue:

 “Moms – A Special Breed”

Today’s tip isn’t about horse training.  It’s about
something more important. more valued and special.

Without hesitation, from the bottom of my heart,
Lord Bless all you Moms out there.  For all you do,
for all the unselfish acts of love and dedication
to your families, for many – the lack of recognition
you get, and for hanging in there through thick and
thin – Lord Bless you all!

I want to acknowledge all Moms here – whether your
kids are still at home or are out of the house,
whether you have lost kids in any way, or perhaps
you have adopted.  Please know there’s no one on
earth that could do the job you’re doing.

You deserve much more praise and support than you
typically get throughout the year.

The Lord created you special.  And he has put a unique
love, care and concern for others in you like no other.

As one who gives so much and typically keeps the
family together, you at times seem to be a SuperHero.

My own Mom went to be with the Lord early – she had
colon cancer and they could do just so much until,
finally, the Lord called her home.

I will never forget the countless hours she would
stay up doing things for the family, denying herself
of so many things for others – whether her own family
or for others in need.  She was truly one who would
help anyone – from a neighbor to a complete stranger.

I hardly ever heard her say anything negative about
anyone…she almost always could find some redeeming
trait in even the worst of humanity and tell them so.

Always a positive outlook.  Always helping others.
Always loving.  Always giving.

Funny thing, I married a gal just like her.

One who never gives up on her own children and is always
encouraging them.  And she puts up with all my antics
and laughs at all my (funny) jokes.  She gives all to
her kids and me and thinks of herself and her needs
last.

Prov. 18:22  “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing,
and obtaineth favour of the LORD.”

Certainly ’tis true in my life.

So on this Sunday – to all you Mothers out there:

Lord bless you all.  You have a huge responsibility
and it isn’t necessarily easy.  It’s demanding.
It daunting at times.  It’s tiring.

But it’s the most rewarding thing you could do.  Hang
in there.  Don’t give up.  Fight back the enemy who
would come to devour, kill and destroy.

Stay on your knees for your children.  Especially those
who have made some wrong choices.  NEVER give up.

To all the rest of you – please take time to show
respect, praise and encouragement to not only your
own Mom, if possible, but to those around you as well.

Moms deserve our utmost praise and lots of
encouragement throughout the year.

Enjoy the day.  Thanks and bless you all
for being there.

Sincerely,

Charlie Hicks
