Your Horse Has To Figure It Out

1. Your Horse Has To Figure It Out

Here’s professional trainer Andy Curry:

You’ve heard me say it again and again.

When you ask your horse to do something he’s not done,
he has to figure out what you want.

But get this.

Even though he’s figured out what
you want, he still has to figure out how to do it well.

The human equivalent is practicing.

I am a musician.

I figured out how to play guitar
but I had to figure out how to play it well.

I figured it out through practicing.

Horses will figure out how to do
something well by doing it again and again.

It, too, is called practicing.

But you don’t wanna over do it.

Ask him to practice it too much and
he’ll sour on it.

Take spinning for instance.

To spin, you want your horse to cross his feet over.

Then the horse has to learn his balance and stay off
the leg that’s bumping him to move and spin.

The biggest thing on spinning is they
need to step back on their inside foot
and stay off your outside leg.

It’s a balancing act of not being too
far back or too far forward.

They have to learn where they need to be.

If they go too far back or forward,
you put them back where they need to be.

Otherwise, let them stay there and step.

Again, they have to figure out how
to do it better even though they figured out what you want.

Doug and Danie Hewlett, Reining Trainers remind us that….

“The horse can
get dizzy and
balled up so
you have to
relieve that.”

By the way, if you wanna learn how to
teach your horse Reining, I urge you to consider
Doug and Danie’s DVD.

They are famous in the world of Reining and they reveal
crucial tips, tricks, and techniques nearly anyone can do.

You can see it by clicking the following:

http://horsetrainingresources.com/dvd-daniedoughewlett.html

Another point the Hewletts remind us is this.

When you spin your horse, make it
a nice place to be.

That makes them more willing to spin
and in fact look for it.

Of course, that’s an important horse training principle.

About anything you want your horse to
do, make it a nice place to be for him and he will seek it out.

2. “Words cannot express how happy I am….”

Ever had problems with…

– Picking up your horse’s feet for cleaning or trimming?
– Having your horse stand while you wash, groom or work on him?
– Getting your horse to follow?
– Teaching your horse to back?
– Stopping your horse from rearing?

Well, these and many more things, are solved quickly
using the Pulley Breaking Bridle.

There has been a multitude of testimonials for this bridle
and how it works wonders for those who use it correctly.

It is simple, fast and extremely effective.

Many folks have been fighting problems with for months –
and then try the Pulley Bridle and are amazed at
the results they get with it.

Cindy A. in Ohio sent me this letter
after trying the Pulley Bridle:

———————-
“Hi Charlie…

… Words cannot express how happy I am with the results
I got the first time I used it.
Two pulls and he actually picked up his foot and gave it
to me with NO PROBLEM!!

I know you don’t know my horse, but this has really
been a problem with him.

So I said to my husband that since this worked so well,
let’s give him a bath!! Well guess what—he stood like
a champ for that too!!!

I wish I would have bought this 7 months ago when I bought
him. But now, thanks to that and your books on horse training,
I really have a good horse that now has a good attitude.

Thanks again for all your help and great tips.

By the way I still watch your great video [screensaver]
every night!! I just love it–my teenage daughter says
I’m obsessed!!! Well I guess maybe I am……

Happy Trails

Cindy”

For many of you it may be hard to believe that such
simple method could produce such great results.

I assure you, I don’t make these up!

They come from folks just like you who have nagging problems
with their horse.  Many, many folks are pleasantly surprised
to obtain such quick results.

Study the Jesse Beery books, use his training methods and
try the bridle.  Jesse developed the bridle after years of
working with horses and learning their physiology, nervous
system and fully understanding the horse’s dispositions.

Jesse was a master at figuring out effective methods to training.

Can You Help Your Horse With His Thinking?

————————————————————-
“Charlie,
I just want to say thank you. I have been around horses
all my life. From old timers who tie a foot up to get on,
to teaching a horse to stand. My son is now in love so
much with horses as I was.

I read your tips over and over to teach him right. My horse
days don’t work to good with my body. But I can still talk
my son through it.

thank you,
lucky”

Thanks, Lucky.  We really appreciate the note!

1. Can You Help Your Horse With His Thinking?

Here’s trainer Andy Curry with some great tips:

Ever think about this?

How does your horse act?

Did you ever think about why he acts
like he does?

For instance, if you have a belligerent horse,
he may be like that because he ‘thinks’
he won’t be safe if he ‘isn’t’ belligerent.

Ones that are aggressive may be that
way because they feel out of control if they ‘aren’t’ aggressive.

After all, they’re in an environment
full of pressure.

Maybe they can’t leave the stable when
they want.

They can’t walk away from biting flies.

Think about this.

All the pressures (most anyway) are
pressures ‘WE’ put on them that they wouldn’t normally have done to themselves.

Did you ever think about that?

After all, who would purposely hurt
themselves if they were ‘in their right mind’?

No one I know of.

There’s a guy in our town who I find
is a bit scary.

As a child he grew up in a foster family.

I’m betting he didn’t get the love and
attention that so many of us did.

He did a 2 or 3 year prison stint be-
cause he was an accessory to burglary.

Although he’s not gone back to prison,
has a wife and 2 kids, and has had a job for several years,…he’s still scary.

Why?

When I talk to him I wonder if he’s
just going have an uncontrollable urge to reach up and hit me just to show me he can.

Sounds strange, I know.

He’s been known to talk about his prison stint…almost as if he’s proud of it.

I’ve often heard him say, ‘When I was in prison….’

He’s said to me, ‘I hate rich people.  I’d just as soon beat ’em than look at them.’

My thought at the time was, ‘…am I glad I’m not rich!’

He’s argumentative even when you’re not arguing with him.

He kind of looks for it for whatever reason.

And so on, and so on.

How did this man, who was someone’s baby and born
with an empty slate, become like this?

While I’m far from an expert, my ‘guess’
is his experiences made him that way.

His ‘beliefs’ arise from the way he was treated.

Perhaps he felt mistreated by people he thought were
rich and therefore.. all rich people are the enemy.

I don’t know.

But I still think he’s a product of his experiences.

What’s this got to do with horses?

Everything, actually.

Every second you’re with your horse you’re training him.

What you do triggers a response in him.

They say you can tell what the owner’s
like by what the horse says.

Thus, if you have a disrespectful horse it’s said the
owner gets willingly walked on and/or doesn’t know how
to handle the situation.

It could also be that the owner doesn’t know what a
horse’s disrespect is or what it looks like nor do
they understand how serious that problem really is.

But an aggressive horse?

That could result from lots of things but one is not being treated fairly.

Did the horse learn if he got aggressive he could stop the unfairness?

If so, I ask…’Why, then, wouldn’t he
be aggressive?’

It makes sense.

So here’s what I want you to know.

When I interviewed Linda Braddy she said this profound statement:

‘It’s important we gentle
our horses in a way they
understand that we’re
going to take care of them
and they’ll cooperate.’

To the greenhorn, this statement would
normally bounce off the ears and not be thought through.

But if you get what I just said about
experiences making the horse what he is at that moment
(give or take some instinctual stuff), then you can
move mountains with your horse.

If you’re not sure you’re up to speed
then go get lessons, read books, and watch DVD’s.

I don’t care who’s books and DVD’s you
go through – as long as you keep at it.

The more you learn from different trainers, the more
ideas you get.  The wider your knowledge becomes.

Soon, you find yourself getting incredible responses and
actions from your horse because of what you learned and put to use.

Soon, you find you’re not asking as many questions
but are instead answering other people’s.

that’s what Linda’s all about.

2. Can This New Bridle Help You?

We just released the new design of the Pulley Breaking Bridle
this week.  The response has been great.

We know most of you don’t care about all the details of how we
make it, what research and trials we went through, etc.

You’re biggest questions are probably:

“Will it work for me?” and “Is it worth the investment?”

And that’s exactly what I’d be asking if I were in your boots!

I don’t like to hype things and get folks all jazzed up
so they go on a buying frenzy.  That’s not what we’re about.

But when you know you have a solid product that works
amazingly well and your customers write all kinds of
letters mentioning how well it worked for them in such
a short time then….  it’s hard not to get a little
excited!

So here’s the deal:

Please read the info on the website about the pulley bridle.

If it isn’t something you need or could use then perhaps
you might be able to use it in the future.

However, if your horses are exhibiting some bad behaviors
and you need help NOW, get the bridle, try it out and
see if it doesn’t do what we say.

If it doesn’t, if you think we’re just full of it, then
return it in 30 days for a refund.

I think you’ll be amazed like so many others were.  And
I’d love to read and publish your letter, too.

Fair enough?   Click the link below to get yours:

The New, Updated Release of the Pulley Breaking Bridle is Ready!

Well…  it’s ready.  Finally!

What?

The complete new design of the
‘Jesse Beery Pulley Breaking Bridle’.

We’re excited and think you will be, too when you see what
we’ve been up to and what we accomplished!

We have sold dozens and dozens of these bridles
over the last couple years.

And we’ve received a pile of customer testimonials from those that
have used this bridle.  For most, it has worked extremely
well and has proven to be a tremendous training aid.

You can read some of the testimonials on the web site.

So why did we change it, you may ask?

Almost anything can be improved – even something that
works well to begin with.

If we’ve heard any complaint about the original design
it was that it was “too slippery” to get on and adjusted
properly.  Some folks had trouble keeping it in place
and getting it snugged up properly.

And, if it isn’t fitted properly, it doesn’t work well.

So…  with these issues at hand,  we started designing
and testing various new components and materials and
tried a dozen different prototypes in our research.

We are confident you’ll find it a much better product.

at least three different versions of this bridle.  I  have
recently been able to secure original versions of the last two.

Using their latest design, updating the materials available
today and adding a couple new features has enabled us to
produce this newest bridle.

that and it was easy to clean and shoe him.”

P.S. You’ll also have the opportunity to save a bunch
when you buy the pulley bridle and the Jesse Beery
8 Volume course In Horse Training together as a bundle.

***************************************************

“Hello Charlie,

Just like to thank you for the opportunity to buy
Professor Beery’s training books. The information and
his years of experience he has put into it is invaluable
and so easy to put into action. I have bought a 6 year
old gelding that was an ex-pacer,(disposition 2&4) and
has lots of bad habits which include chewing wood,
bucking, bolting, shying  and nipping.  Basically he
was dangerous to ride.

After a month using Jesse’s methods I now have a horse
that is easy and pleasant to ride and is no longer dangerous
and unpredictable.

The other thing  that is great is you can make the training
equipment that he mentions and describes so easily and cheaply.
The only thing I bought was a surcingle. I also have likely
saved thousands of dollars for training this horse myself
instead of sending him to a professional trainer.

I certainly will not be returning  this book, in fact,
a wild team of horses could not drag it from me. As for
those that think this book is outdated I can only laugh
at them, ha ha ha. I bet my horse will be trained before theirs.

Thanks for sending me e-mail tips and I thank you once
again for this wonderful book.

All the best,

Steve Riddle”
