1. “Horses. You. And Christmas.”
As I write this I have Christmas music on in
the background. I love this time of year.
A lot of it is traditions. Things we do each
and every Christmas season.
One of the things our family does is watch
some of classic Christmas movies together.
We are also quite involved in various ministries
through our church, especially around Christmas.
I don’t have to tell you that’s there’s a lot
of hurting folks out there and many who go
without. We try to minister to their physical
needs along with their spiritual needs.
Many of you are hurring around trying to get
shopping done for family, friends and others.
How many of your family and friends are horse
folks? Looking for something special to give
them?
Why not invest in them and their horses at
the same time? By gifting them some of our
training and riding DVDs, our books, training
bridle, etc – you are making a statement while
helping them at the same time. I don’t know of
too many horse folks who wouldn’t want to
get something to improve their riding and training!
Not For Everyone…
We have a very special offering that certainly
isn’t for everyone. But we’ve sold out almost
every time we’ve offered these sets in the past.
What is it?
“The Entire Horse Training and Riding DVD Library”
When we offered this entire DVD library in the
past we only had 21 DVDs in the set. We have
since added 10 more DVD titles.
Yep. 31 DVD Titles representing some of the best
professional trainers and instructors you can find.
31 Titles. 23 Single DVDs. 8 Two-DVD titles.
A total of 39 DVD discs in the set.
If you bought each one at our normal price you’d
have to pay about $1,398.00.
However, as you might guess, we have this
entire professional DVD set at a price that
will turn most heads. It’s only $599.00.
That’s almost 60% OFF!
Oh – if you live in the USA, we’ll ship
the entire set to you free, too. Unreal.
What’s The Catch?
No real catch – except, at this price, we
are only offering 7 complete sets. When
they’re gone, they’re gone.
What a phenomenal way to build your horse
training and riding library!
Who Would Buy This Entire Set?
From past customers there’s three primary
groups of folks who buy these sets:
1. Parents + grandparents who want a solid set
of professional training DVDs for their kids
and grandkids. They pass them around and
save a ton of $$ over the years. These sets
are a great addition to any horse library.
2. Stables + riding clubs. They buy them
as part of library offerings and either have
them as a “lending library” or charge a small
fee to check them out and share the wealth
of information contained.
3. Individuals and friends frequently go
together and buy the entire set and share
not only the cost of the entire set, saving
tons of money, but also sharing what they
learned with each other.
Why Would You Buy The Set?
Your reason for getting the Entire DVD Library
may be different than others. But I know this,
I never stop learning. In fact, I have found
that the more I learn the deeper I want to go.
If your have “more horse than knowledge”, that is,
you are overwhelmed with your horse, how to
handle, how to ride safely, how to teach your
horse respect, etc….then it’s probably
time to do something about it.
If you have the means…this is a no-brainer.
If you and 2 or 3 other friends can go in
together than you couldn’t make a better
investment in you and your horses than what
you’ll learn from these 31 professional DVDs.
Mom, Dad, Grandparent – can you imagine any
investment that could offer so much to your
kids and grandkids as these professional
trainers can teach and show them? Just the
safety factor alone more than justifies the
purchase price.

2. “Why Keep Your Horse’s Head Down?”
If you’re into Western Riding, there’s
a head position that’s desirable for horses.
That head position is down.
Why is that?
When the head is down, it automatically
causes the horse’s back to rise.
What’s so good about that?
It gets them to use their back legs more.
So what?
It keeps their front legs light and
ready to move.
Thus, when the horse’s front end is
light, they can turn faster and easier.
They’re simply in a more athletic
position to do maneuvers.
If you ever watched a Draft Horse pulling
contest, you would likely see their heads
down while pulling because it helps them
get that strength needed to pull.
Also…
Another key point about the head being
down, back up, and light on the front end, is
this is much of what collection is about.
Collection is an important factor in
the horse world. When they’re using the rear
legs, light on the front, and moving with
balance…you’re getting collection.
Thus, when your horse puts his head
down we don’t want to take that away from him.
Instead, we want to encourage it.
But what about when the horse puts
his head down to lean on the bit?
Then what?
The first thing to “not” do is pull
his head back up.
If you do, you’re encouraging him not
to lower his head.
If you’d like to know what else to do,
you might want to take a look at the
Kenny Scott horse training video.
Kenny reveals many solutions for various
problems including the one I just described.
Kenny’s a lot of fun to learn from because he’s
got more experience and championships
under his belt than most trainers you’ll meet.
He won the 1997 World in Western Riding.
He’s also placed at the World so many times I’m
not sure I could accurately count them.
He’s also made the finals at the Congress
in Western Pleasure.
Combine his wins with his background in
horse training and you begin to see why he’s
someone to learn from.
Kenny is another one of those professional
trainers we feature because he has both
the experience, credentials and is a very
effective teacher.
Anyway, if you want to know more about
him, click on the following:

Remember, the head down is a good thing.
But you might ask, “But what if it looks
like he’s going to buck? Don’t horses buck with
their head down?”
Great question.
Kenny answers that in his video as well.

Ok…that’s it for today. Stay safe out there!

One of Jesse Beery’s more famous training aids he
developed was his Pulley Bridle. He refers to
it multiple times throughout his course.
We have taken his original design and improved upon
it in many ways and now offer what we call the
“Beery Pulley Bridle”.
You can see it here:
http://horsetrainingresources.
We also offer the bridle and the Beery course
as a discounted bundle if you want both.
